2009 Muscadine Harvest Festival Contest Winners Named

Congratulations to all of this year’s winners in the 2009 North Carolina Muscadine Harvest Festival cooking and wine-making contests. The winners are listed below. New online resource connects county residents to university experts

A busload of NC Teaching Fellows toured Duplin County this week as guests of Cooperative Extension, the Duplin County Agribusiness Council, and Duplin County Schools.During their visit, they observed classes and tutored students at Wallace - Rose Hill High School, toured Duplin Winery, and picked strawberries at Chestnutt Farms. Employees at the Duplin County Center of NC Cooperative Extension recently endeavored to save state tax dollars and to protect the environment as they enhanced their professional knowledge and skills.The Duplin employees were among Extension workers all across North Carolina who attended the agency's first statewide virtual training conference, an event which required no registration fees and no overnight stays.
