  • To keep association members up to date with awards available to them with deadlines and criteria; workshops and trainings available; and any magazines, internet pages, etc. that would help in the education and time management of all members.
  • Annual Professional Improvement Scholarship —This scholarship is open to all NCCEAPA members. Committee will communicate reminders to district members of when this scholarship is available.
  • Herter-O’Neal Scholarship – In accordance with the Herter-O’Neal Scholarship Guidelines on the website, the State 2nd VP will notify the district chairs of Professional Improvement Committee of scholarship guidelines, details, and deadline for entries. The District Professional Improvement Committee Chair will provide information to each county administrative assistant in the district. Chair will receive all applications from their district and distribute to each committee member. Committee will vote on one district finalist. Chair will send the district finalist application to the State 2nd Vice President for the selection process. Each county will solicit applications from High Schools and community colleges. District chair will notify District Treasurer of district finalist for $250 award payment.
  • NED Administrative Professional of the Year Award – Nominations may be made after January 1 of each year with the deadline being March 1 of the same year. Winner will receive a monetary award of $75 and a plaque with previous recipients being eligible every 5 years.
