Alcohol is the most commonly used drug among people under 21. 2 out of 3 youth say it is easy to get alcohol from their home or the home of a friend or relative. Underage drinking damages developing brains and increases the risk of developing alcohol use disorder.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Lock up the area where you keep your alcohol. Count bottles/keep track of the alcohol kept in the home. Store alcohol in safe places that are not seen or accessible to youth. Talk with other adults about how important it is to secure and monitor alcohol at home.
