Our Crop and Plant Production program is the primary educational resource for the county's commercial agricultural growers. We deliver cutting-edge, research-based information on best management practices to help you increase yields, improve crop quality, and sustain farm viability. Our expertise spans field crops, horticulture, pest management, soil fertility, and irrigation, ensuring our local producers remain competitive and productive.

I’m a Field Crops Extension Agent in Duplin County, North Carolina, in which I serve as a local extension agent and agricultural resource for farmers by providing research-based information and programs that improve crop production, profitability, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.

As a County Agent, I collaborate with and am supported by NC State University and NC A & T State University specialists. The main crop responsibilities I have are Corn, Soybean, Small Grains, Cotton, Peanuts, and Flue-Cured Tobacco. Every day is different for me. I mainly provide educational programs related to field crop production, including crop management. Organize and execute on-farm research, demonstration plots, field days, winter production meetings, and provide technical assistance to growers tailored to local cropping systems.
