I’m a Field Crops Extension Agent in Duplin County, North Carolina, in which I serve as a local extension agent and agricultural resource for farmers by providing research-based information and programs that improve crop production, profitability, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance. As a County Agent, I collaborate with and am supported by NC State University and NC A & T State University specialists. The main crop responsibilities I have are Corn, Soybean, Small Grains, Cotton, Peanuts, and Flue-Cured Tobacco. Every day is different for me. I mainly provide educational programs related to field crop production, including crop management. Organize and execute on-farm research, demonstration plots, field days, winter production meetings, and provide technical assistance to growers tailored to local cropping systems.
