Introduction to the Mediterranean Diet

This program will include a presentation, followed by a “Med Way” food demonstration, where you’ll receive food preparation tips and tricks!
This is a face-to-face workshop located at Mt. Calvary Center for Leadership Development (
414 N Norwood Street, Wallace, NC 28466).
*Due to the hands-on nature of this workshop, space is limited.

More Information About the Med Instead of Meds Program
Med Instead of Meds was created by a group of nutrition and the health professionals from NC State University and NC Division of Public Health. Eating the Med Way (Mediterranean) has been proven to protect against chronic illness. In some cases, eating the Med Way may even result in decreasing medications taken for blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes.*Be sure to ask your healthcare professional before changing any prescribed medications.
