Celebrating Farmers and Agribusiness in Duplin County with a week long Farm Fest.

Starting Sunday, September 7, Farm Fest Kickoff with Petting Zoo, Cowboy Church and a Rodeo.(Vendor Sign-Up Form) (Rodeo Sign Up Link). On Monday, Farmers Appreciation Lunch with live music – eat-in or take out. Then it’s Tuesday, Hay Bale Decorating Contest results are announced (submit entry photos here). Hump day begins with 4-H Art and Photography Contest Display for local youths ages 5-18. Thursday’s Pig Show starts at 6 p.m. at the Duplin Livestock Facility. Friday, is Goat Show day starting at 6 p.m. Wrapping up the week on Saturday with Lamb and Heifer Shows. Livestock shows are part of the Eastern Carolina Showmanship Circuit and entries can be submitted here.

    Petting Zoo 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
    Cowboy Church 12 p.m.
    Rodeo at 1 p.m. until
    Vendors and Concessions on site
  • Monday, September 8th – Farmers Appreciation Lunch
    FREE LUNCH for farmers and agribusinesses in Duplin County!
    Eat in and enjoy live music or take a plate to-go. First come first served as long as the food lasts! Starts at 11 a.m.

  • Tuesday, September 9th – Hay Bale Decorating Contest
    Show your Farm Fest spirit by decorating a hay bale!
    Submit a photo of your bale (round or square) by Aug. 27.
    Voting runs on our Facebook page from Aug. 29 – Sept. 5.
    Winners announced Sept. 9 – $100 for 1st, $75 for 2nd, $50 for 3rd!
  • Wednesday, September 10th – 4-H Art & Photography Contest Display
    Stop by the Duplin County Extension Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to see creative entries from local youth ages 5–18!
