Hey y'all! I'm Rachel Ezzell, and I'm the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Agent here in Duplin County. I started working with Extension as an intern in 2020 and loved the opportunities. I've been the FCS agent here in Duplin County since 2022 and love the opportunity to talk about food and nutrition in the community.
In FCS view the family as the cornerstone of a healthy society. Our mission is to improve the well-being of the family through programs that educate, influence public policy, and help families put research-based knowledge to work in their lives. Each day as an FCS Agent looks a little different, and that's one aspect I love about my job! You might find me teaching about food, nutrition, and cooking at an afterschool program, a local faith community, a school, or even the library! In Extension, our audiences are diverse in age, background, and experience. We hope to reach you where you are and continue to learn and grow with you.
